Post-Graduate Clinical Supervision

What to Expect

Post-graduate supervision is a collaborative, structured process designed to support clinicians in developing clinical competence, ethical judgment, and a solid professional identity as they work toward independent licensure in Kansas.

Supervision is grounded in systems theory and integrates evidence-based and relational models, including CBT, I-CBT, ERP, the Crucible Approach, parts work, and polyvagal theory. Clinical cases are explored with attention to diagnosis, treatment planning, therapist reactivity, and the use of self in the therapeutic relationship.

Supervisees are supported in strengthening clinical decision-making, managing complex presentations, maintaining ethical and professional boundaries, and developing confidence and autonomy as clinicians. Supervision also attends to nervous system regulation, countertransference, and sustainability in practice.

The goal of supervision is to support clinicians in becoming ethical, self-directed, and effective practitioners capable of working thoughtfully with individuals, couples, and relational systems.
